Innovative Robotics Solutions

🧱 PATHWAY 1: Young Builders (Ages 5-7 | Grades K-2)

What They'll Learn: Your youngest learners will discover that they can make robots move, think, and solve problems—all through the magic of many different LEGO® Education systems! Using screen-free coding with buttons and color-coded cards, children build foundational STEM skills while having a blast.

Skills Developed:

  • Screen-free programming with tactile buttons and visual Coder Cards
  • Sequencing and basic algorithms (planning before doing!)
  • Cause-and-effect thinking
  • Teamwork and turn-taking
  • Pattern recognition
  • Fine motor skills through building
  • Early computational thinking
  • Following multi-step instructions

What Makes This Special: Unlike typical "play time," Brick Coders introduces genuine computer science concepts without screens. Kids learn that coding is just giving clear instructions—and when their robot follows their commands, the sense of accomplishment is incredible! They're not just playing; they're becoming problem solvers.

🔧 PATHWAY 2: code builders (Ages 8-10 | Grades 3-5)

What They'll Learn: Students transition from simple commands to genuine coding, building increasingly complex robots that can sense their environment and make decisions. This is where engineering thinking really takes off!

Skills Developed:

  • Block-based coding (visual programming language)
  • Sensor integration (teaching robots to "see" and "feel")
  • Mechanical engineering principles
  • Design thinking process (imagine, build, test, improve)
  • Debugging and troubleshooting
  • Project planning and execution
  • Collaborative problem-solving
  • Presenting and explaining their work

What Makes This Special: Code Builders bridges the gap between play and professional engineering. Students use the same design-build-test cycle that real engineers use daily. When their robot navigates a maze using sensors, or lifts an object with a mechanical arm they designed, they're applying physics, math, and logic—without realizing they're "doing school work."

🤖 PATHWAY 3: Robotics studio (Ages 11-14 | Grades 6-9)

What They'll Learn: Our more advanced pathway prepares students for real competition robotics and high school STEM programs. Students tackle complex engineering challenges, begin the transition from block coding to python, and work in teams like professional engineers.

Skills Developed:

  • Advanced block coding and introduction to Python
  • Multi-sensor integration and autonomous programming
  • Mechanical design and structural engineering
  • Systems thinking (how components work together)
  • Data collection and analysis
  • Strategic planning and optimization
  • Leadership and project management
  • Competition preparation (FLL pathway)

What Makes This Special: Robotics Studio isn't just a class—it's a gateway to the future. Students work on the same robotics platforms used in international competitions, learning skills that translate directly to high school robotics teams, engineering programs, and future STEM careers.

🏆 Fall 2026 Opportunity: Select students will be given an opportunity to join our FIRST® LEGO® League competition team—an optional program that includes travel to regional competitions in Edmonton or Calgary! More details coming this fall.

Class sizes are limited - Early enrollment is encouraged!
